Raised Floors in Project Möbius – Brussels
The prestigious Möbius project, developed by Immobel and designed by Assar Architects, consists of two iconic elliptical towers in the heart of Brussels’ business district. These innovative buildings were designed to be fully passive and maximise natural daylight thanks to their panoramic architecture.
For this high-end project, renovation company ANBICO was responsible for delivering an advanced technical solution: the installation of no less than 20,000 m² of raised flooring.
Technical Specifications of the Raised Floor
To ensure maximum durability and performance, a high-quality floor panel was selected:
Fully enclosed with steel sheet on all six sides
Equipped with a press-fit connection featuring a quadruple fold on the top side
Made from JVP C4TTM 29 mm FSC-certified wood
This combination results in an exceptionally strong and stable raised floor, suitable for intensive use in office environments.
Benefits of the Quadruple Fold
The use of the quadruple fold offers numerous technical and functional advantages:
Increased strength of the upper steel sheet
Optimal protection against wear and friction during installation and maintenance
Exceptional dimensional stability, Class 1, and precise calibration
High resistance to concentrated loads, Class 4
Maximum structural stability without risk of breakage
Suitable for sustainable applications with 100% FSC-certified wood
Thanks to these properties, this floor panel is known for its reliability and is frequently used in high-quality and prestigious construction projects in Belgium.
